2026
Miami County 2026
Miami County sits at the crossroads of rural Kansas and the Kansas City metro area. The county is primarily represented in the Kansas House of Representatives by State House District 6, with additional overlap into neighboring districts following the 2022 redistricting process. At the state senate level, much of Miami County falls within Kansas Senate District 37.
All Kansas House seats will be on the ballot in 2026, along with statewide executive offices including Governor, Lieutenant Governor, Secretary of State, Attorney General, and State Treasurer. At the federal level, Miami County is located entirely within Kansas’ 3rd Congressional District, and voters will elect a representative to the U.S. House in 2026. One of Kansas’ United States Senate seats will also be on the ballot as part of the regular six-year election cycle.
State House
Miami County voters are represented in the Kansas House of Representatives by Districts 6, 7, and 42, each serving different portions of the county’s incorporated cities and rural townships. State Representatives serve two-year terms and are responsible for introducing legislation, voting on the state budget, and shaping policy on issues that directly impact Kansas families, schools, infrastructure, healthcare access, and economic development. All State House seats will be on the ballot in 2026.
